An emerging superpower- India

india-the-next-superpower-1-728

After receiving such a positive response from the article “The Greatness of India” (https://thegreatindianhitch.wordpress.com/2015/01/18/the-greatness-of-india-incredible-india/#respond), I would like to share some interesting facts which are unknown to the people of this country and other countries who undermine the power and greatness of this nation.

  • The country is achieving a high economic growth of over 8 per cent of its GDP annually, on a consistent basis. In fact, India’s economic growth rate is second highest in the world-next only to China. The developed world has been left behind. The two Asian giants-India and China have today turned the leaders of growth of the global economy.
  • Militarily, India is one of the strongest countries in the world. Having the third largest army in the world, it has a huge arsenal of weaponry including nuclear weapons. Its Army, Navy and Air Force are always ready to meet any challenge. India believes in having peaceful relations with other countries, but in today’s world of changing equation, it is necessary to have a military might to deter other countries to do any mischief.
  • ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) recently launched polar satellite launch vehicle (PSLV) which created history by lobbying 104 satellites in a single mission, whereas the previous record was in the name of Russia which marked 37 satellites in one single mission.
  • According to a report by New World Wealth in 2016, India is ranked as the seventh wealthiest country in the world.
  • Few years ago, Indians (who are considered to be blacks) were discriminated in western countries but now Indian minds are ruling over the world:
    • CEO of Google: Sundar Pichai
    • CEO of Microsoft: Satya Nadella
    • CEO of Adobe: Shantanu Narayen

You’ll find that again. You will!

There was a time she wasn’t sure. In middle of a hurricane, it always made her question- Wonder whether she will get through it, whether all of it is worth it or what if she could not handle, she always had a thought to quit in back of her mind. But she did not quit because she is not an escapist. The day she realized she has to fight back, she won because she was not scared to lose now. In middle of the storm, where she was the most vulnerable, her ears could not listen to the chaos where she listened to her heart which tells her to calm down, so she listens because she knows even if she wanted to, she cannot go back. Life is a crazy, beautiful, confusing journey but it is lived forward.

We all had those frightening experiences, some of us are still going through or are yet to go, those memories that scare the shit out of us, but you made out and that’s your victory; the ones who are going through it, do remember that “This is Life and it is not supposed to be easy, it is much more than the barbie or X Box games.” But you will make through it. This is the end of the year and I would like to remind you all of your strengths which didn’t let you give up and trust me, you’re doing great! We all have screwed things in past, but don’t blame yourself for everything. Even if you’re low right now, its okay, give yourself some time, find yourself and you’ll rise again. We all have made mistakes in this year and  have left things behind but  remind yourself- You will find them again. You will be happy again. You will be okay, so keep moving!

Looking forward to the coming year with Hope and ready to fight back with everything life throws at you. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all! Stay Blessed ❤

“Demonetization”

This blog has been inactive for some time and sincere apologies for the same.

This might look like not so current issue but considering its long lasting effects, this issue can still be deliberated upon.

“There are always some hardships faced before achieving some end, what we need to analyse- is the means of achieving the end worth it afterall for greater good?”watermark

Yes, demonetization has caused many hardships but at the end, it is all worth it for greater good. This is not just my view, interviewing the people who sell vegetables, auto rickshaw drivers, low income people; the comments I gathered were more or less same as- “Humari pareshaani to do din ki hai, par ab bade logon ki pareshani shuru hogi” (the common man’s hardships won’t last for much time but the bad time for businessman and corrupt politicians will start now); the people having most issues and problems with demonetisation are the ones who never paid tax on their income and gathered a lot of black money.

Considering the income tax raids and notices given to high income businessmen and politicians, there have been several inquiries going for the same purpose, over Rs.2,000 crores black money has been recovered by the income tax raids which clearly shows that the bad time for dishonest people has already started. Not only black money recovery but it has stopped funding of terrorists organisations, money laundering, illicit trade of drugs and weapons, naxalite groups have been caught and some of them surrendered themselves. Yes, it has led to long ques in front of banks and ATMs but at the end, but our efforts and co-operation will lead to a corruption free and cashless India.

A Rising issue- “Intolerant India”

I would just like to remind people quoting India as “Intolerant Nation”, that you’re talking about intolerance of that land where Mahmud Ghaznavi invaded the Somnath Temple still we gave him another chance; you’re talking about that land where we tolerated British for more than 200 years; you’re talking about the nation where everytime ceasefire violation is done by Pakistan and we don’t seek to destroy their nation; you’re talking about that nation where we are still tolerating the disrespectful remarks and gestures for our mother nation! There are many ongoing debates regarding this issue but people please, this nation has given a lot to all of us, if you cannot be the change; then please do not pass disgraceful remarks for the country you are living in.

JUVENILE JUSTICE ACT- KASHMIR VERSION

Juvenile2                          childre

I am inhabited to the part of the part of world where a law takes no action no matter if it is a high court or session court. In this subjugated chorus, the laws that are draconian and black are only ones that hit the execution. The laws which can bring justice, ensure misuse and abuse of power barely are put forth. Despite the favorable and selected implementation of laws, lawlessness is running down the veins of the persons who constitute these. It is authenticated now, the mere enforcement of laws, acts and parts are just restricted within the brim of a sacred book of constitution, and be it our indigenous or Indian. The harsh fact is that everyone is in race to champion the ethos of democracy and aim to present their selves as hero’s and…

Dead Wreckoning – The Poem That Taught Me A Lesson About Drinking And Driving In My Teenage Years

Caffeine and Fairydust

When I was a teenager I gave my mom grey hair. I snuck out all the time and dated bad boys. She decided to nip it in the bud by making me read this poem… for some reason it scarred me for life and really opened my eyes when it came to the dangers of drinking and driving or getting into a car with someone who was intoxicated. I know it’s a lame parent thing, but the truth of the matter is that these dangers are real. These things happen.

Anyway, here it is… get your tissues ready.

Indian Widows Celebrate Holi, Defy Traditions

TGNR

Thousands of widows in the holy cities of Vrindavan and Varanasi doused their white mourning garb with splashes of vibrant colors during this years celebration of Holi, welcoming spring radiantly with the rest of India and the world.  For many, it had been decades since the fuchsia, green, blue, and yellow gulal powders covered their bodies due to strict Indian custom which prohibits widows from participating in festivals.  The NGO Sulabh International has worked for years to eliminate this and the many other taboos attached to widows.  Holi 2015 marked a record turnout: Over 1,000 ashram-bound widows in Vrindavan alone filled the streets to sing traditional Holi songs and dance while 3,000 lbs of flower petals filled the air.
