Criticizing the Indian Cricket Team? Think again.

The Indian Cricket Team is one of the best in the world. We have such good players! Our team has the most fans (because China doesn’t play cricket, duh). We did pretty well in the world cup. We won all our matches except one.

However, some people are criticizing the team for losing against Australia. This does not make sense, at all. The Australian team is number one. There is no denying about the fact that they played amazingly well. Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc performed marvelously. The game was tough, very tough, indeed. But the Indians did their best. No one wishes to lose, do they?

Sitting at your homes in front of the TV, being like ‘Damn it, they should have won! What are they doing? Gadhe kar kya rahe hain? Abbey maar yaar. Abbey dhang se bowling kar. Isko toh team se nikaal dena chaiye tha. Ye kar kya raha hai captain ban kar?’
Like, seriously? This is what you got? If you were in their place, you’d see how tough it can be. There is no point in doing this. People are burning posters and abusing. Some have even went to the level of criticizing Anushka Sharma for it. This is lame. Very lame.

A true fan is one which supports in both wins and loses. If you’re angry with the team, I’m sorry to say, but no, you ain’t a true fan and you ain’t a true lover. A good game is a good game, no matter what. This is the sportsman spirit. It’s just about playing it right and giving your best. Haar jeet toh chalti rehti hai, right?

Be bold, and stop being angry!

  1. Absolutely! At the end of the day, it’s a glorious game with uncertainties. I read some terrible headlines from certain newspapers which is basically insulting journalism as a profession. I guess there will always be a bunch of immature morons sputtering words that don’t make any sense. 🙂
